Meet Our Instructors

Flight Instructor at Classic Wings Aero ServicesDave Koebel

Dave took a Discovery Flight 22 years ago and never looked back. After he got his private license, he become an owner of a Cessna 170. Later on, Dave spent some time flying gliders after finding the joy in soarings. It was not until after buying a Decathlon with a friend to do acrobatic flying that Dave discovered that giving flight instruction was just as much fun as flying itself. He has been teaching for over 12 years now, and has yet to have a boring day. It’s way too much fun showing pilots how to safely enjoy all three dimensions.

Flight Instructor at Classic Wings Aero Services

Paul Fiore

Originally from New York, Paul came to Hood River after visiting family in Portland and found it hard to leave. Paul, who has been flying for over 14 years, knew from his very first flight that he belongs in the sky. Three years ago, Paul became both an instructor and a Cessna 172 owner in the busy airspace around New York City. He enjoys his work as a flight instructor not only because he loves to fly, but because he values the opportunity to provide professional, quality instruction to student pilots in an encouraging and relaxed environment.
